Why Are You Here?
When I entered therapy as part of my psychotherapy training, it became clear that I was searching for the answer to why I was here at all, let alone why I was here with that particular anxiety or this specific issue. I recognised that I was (at least in part) searching for my true purpose or potential in life, and this included both my human and spiritual potential.
My training in the transpersonal world of therapy thus complemented my therapeutic journey in so much that it taught not only how to support a client experiencing daily anxieties, but also how to recognise a client's transpersonal issues - those which lie beyond the personal, day-to-day modes of functioning.
Within the framework of the transpersonal model, clients can discover the meaning and purpose of their problems and how these problems affect their process of unfolding as human beings. The model rests upon the understanding that we are inherently positive and forward moving, whereby setbacks and even deep-seated insecurities can be recognised as useful allies that help show us the way towards better health.
As part of this increased self-awareness, I sometimes use a technique called 'EMDR' (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which helps activate one's pain and clear it through working with the nervous system.
The kind of therapeutic work I offer may also require working with the Angelic Realm:
In the first session, I help clients determine what is most beneficial for their process, and this may, at some point, include an Angel Reading or 'tuning in' to offer guidance on their life path, or any energetic clearing that may be necessary to their overall growth.
Although I offer therapy from a Transpersonal perspective, I work in an integrative manner which is client-centred and includes the above approaches. In this way, a session can range considerably; from a very grounded level of 'just talking and reflecting' through to processing deep pain and connecting to the divine source, which is within us all.
